1960s, Dansk Variation V New French Solid Knife – Finland – 3 Count – Jens Quistgaard
A vintage set of 3 New French Solid Knives, early 1960s, in the Danish modern pattern, Variation V, designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs (Known as Dansk International Designs beginning in 1974).
Variation V was introduced in 1957 and original production ran until 1978. Clean, minimalist, mid-century lines. Original production in the early years (late 1950s to mid-1960s) was in Germany, Denmark, and Finland before moving overseas to Japan and later other countries.
Measurements:
- Each fork measures approx. 8 ½ ” long
Markings:
- Each knife stamped on the back with 4 Ducks logo + Dansk Designs + Finland + IHQ
Condition:
- It is difficult to capture imperfections on stainless steel by photo but please know this set is not in a perfect, unused state
- These knives have been used and do show wear
- Nicks, chips to knife blades and handles (see phone #5 for dark spot)
- Light staining throughout
