About
Hi, I’m Elizabeth. Welcome to EB & Co. Vintage! I’m a personal property appraiser, antique dealer, and all around creative.
What I do: I specialize in appraising and curating 19th & 20th century fine arts and decorative arts.
I am a personal property appraiser with training through the International Society of appraisers.
As an antique dealer I curate unique, interesting items for everyday living that reflect a timeless style and promote a more sustainable design ecosystem.
Why antiques and vintage? With care and upkeep the pieces I collect will continue to last for generations. I specialize in 19th and 20th century decorative arts with an eye for the unique, understated, and often overlooked. My style spans many periods but each item you see has caught my eye for a special reason!
How did I come to the world of vintage and antiques? I am beyond guilty of a lifelong passion for the arts. From a young age, I have been entranced by all forms of creativity – from interior design to large-scale paintings to the written word. I adore it and am happiest when devoting time to learning and immersing myself in the arts. My bookcase is filled with art, history, and antique books to the point of overflow!
My fascination is with the story behind the objects and works of art -- from the utilitarian to the one of a kind. How were they created and who created them? What was the catalyst that took the idea from the concept stages to fruition? What caused items to go from an idea in their creator’s mind to an item that is now part of our everyday lives? How did their geography influence their design? How did the society and the time period they worked in influence their work? The reason may have been a practical one or one purely for beauty’s sake. Regardless of the reason, I find it comforting and exciting to know the people and stories behind the objects in my home. Each object we see has a story to tell. I want to know and share that story with you.
I am an Artist: I, too, am a creator of things from my imagination! I am a contemporary artist working in a variety of mediums and love to experiment with the interplay of multiple disciplines and textures in my work. You can view my work at elizabethbagwellstudios.com and on Instagram @elizabethbagwellstudios
I am endlessly inspired by the evolution of the home, design, and the role it plays in our lives.
Enjoy!
